By viewing the pictures you sent over ,I didn't see any spinal/vertebral lesions. he has CHD on both hips but the remodeling joint surface is pretty smooth . I do not think the pain is coming from CHD problem. The spine x-ray I can see only including thoracic and lumbar area. I didn't see any significant lesion now. Of course Some spinal lesions need better contract x-ray film or special techniques to confirm the diagnosis. Another possibility is the lesion is around neck area. We also have to rule out brain or other legs(knee or/and patella) problems. When the episode occurred, what is the complete clinical signs? Did he fall down completely(as shown on picture C-2)? How long did he stay in laying down position?
